Product overview

AmchoBurn is a sterile, minimally manipulated, lyophilized six-layer human placental membrane allograft derived from donated human placental tissue. It is designed to serve as a natural structural scaffold, it provides a protective mechanical barrier and physical coverage across a wide spectrum of burn wound geometries as well as acute, chronic, surgical and trauma wounds.

  • Six-Layer Placental Architecture: Comprises 6 layers - 2 amnion, 2 intermediate layers, and 2 chorion layers - providing a multilayer placental membrane structure.
  • Preserves the Extracellular Matrix: Retains the native extracellular matrix and structural proteins of placental membrane tissue.
  • Preserved Native Growth Factors: Retains naturally occurring growth factors (KGF, VEGF, EGF, TGF-β).
  • Microbial Barrier & Exudate Control: Provides a natural microbial barrier while maintaining optimal porosity for exudate drainage.
  • Wound Bed Preparation: Prepares and optimizes the wound bed for subsequent skin grafting.
  • Conforms to Irregular Wound Geometries: Adapts to burn wounds of varying shapes and sizes, supporting close contact with the wound surface.
  • Preserved Native Porous Structure: Maintains the native porous architecture of the placental membrane, supporting cellular infiltration and tissue integration.
  • Flexible Configurations: Available in Non-Meshed, 1:2 and 1:3 meshed, Mini, and Hand formats to support different wound characteristics and anatomical requirements.
  • Sterility Assurance: Terminally gamma sterilized to achieve a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶.
  • Product Configurations:
  • AmchoBurn (Non-Meshed): Intended for direct application over burns, acute, and chronic wounds requiring complete surface coverage.
  • AmchoBurn Meshed (1: 2 & 1:3 Ratios): Designed for larger burn and wound surface areas where expanded coverage and fluid management are required while retaining conformability.
  • AmchoBurn Hand: Anatomically shaped for specialized coverage of wounds and burns involving the dorsal and palmar aspect of the hand.
  • AmchoBurn Mini: Designed for deep, tunneled, or highly irregular wound contours where conformity to complex geometries is essential.
