Position Summary

TheRegional Sales Director (RSD) – Surgical Wound Care is a senior field leadership role responsible for executing regional commercial strategy and delivering consistent revenue growth across a multi-state territory. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales (Eastern / Central / Western), the RSD leads frontline sales execution and is accountable for building, managing, and developing Territory Sales Representatives (1099), Key Account Managers, and distributor-aligned resources as the organization scales. This role is highly hands-on and field-centric, with accountability for regional quota attainment, team performance, pipeline discipline, account expansion, and launch execution. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in biologics, regenerative medicine, advanced wound care, or medical devices, along with a proven ability to coach teams, drive adoption, and outperform targets in competitive, regulated healthcare markets. This role serves as the primary regional execution arm of the national commercial strategy, working in close partnership with the Cellution Biologics National Accounts Director to execute IDN and GPO contracting strategies. The RSD must demonstrate strong experience navigating hospital Materials Management and Purchasing departments to drive compliant product adoption and effective contract execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Regional Revenue & Execution Ownership

  • Execute the regional sales strategy aligned with Vice President of Sales objectives to consistently meet or exceed revenue, growth, and market-share targets.
  • Own regional forecasting, pipeline accuracy, and sales performance using CRM and analytics-driven decision-making.
  • Drive disciplined value-based selling, pricing adherence, and reimbursement-aligned product positioning.

Frontline Sales Leadership & Coaching

  • Directly lead, coach, and develop Territory Sales Representatives, Key Account Managers, and/or distributor-aligned field resources.
  • Conduct regular field rides, deal reviews, and coaching sessions to elevate selling skills, clinical confidence, and execution consistency.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, accountability standards, and individual development plans.

Talent Development & Succession Planning

  • Partner with leadership and People & Culture to recruit, onboard, and retain top-performing regional sales talent.
  • Build a strong internal talent pipeline and succession plan to support regional growth and continuity.
  • Foster a high-performance, results-driven, and compliant sales culture.

Account Expansion & Strategic Deal Support

  • Expand penetration across hospital systems, IDNs, HOPDs, wound care centers, burn units, inpatient facilities, ASCs, and physician practices.
  • Personally support complex conversions, high-value negotiations, and strategic account opportunities alongside the field team.
  • Drive regional execution of strategic account priorities defined by the Vice President of Sales.

Distributor & Channel Management

  • Manage and optimize performance of master distributors, bonafide distributors, sub-reps, and hybrid go-to-market models.
  • Ensure distributor alignment with Cellution Biologics’ commercial standards, pricing policies, compliance requirements, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor distributor productivity, territory coverage, engagement, and ROI; implement corrective actions when required.

Product Launch & Market Activation

  • Lead regional launch readiness for new products, indications, or portfolio expansions.
  • Ensure effective field training, market activation, early adoption strategies, and launch performance tracking.
  • Provide structured feedback to Marketing and Commercial Leadership on launch effectiveness and competitive response.

Clinical Engagement & KOL Development

  • Support clinician education, in-service programs, and evidence-based discussions to drive appropriate adoption and utilization.
  • Facilitate participation in clinical evaluations, studies, and real-world evidence initiatives in collaboration with Clinical Affairs.
  • Build strong relationships with regional KOLs, physician champions, and wound care leaders.

Cross-Functional & Matrix Collaboration

  • Act as a key regional influencer with Marketing, Clinical, Sales Operations, Market Access, and Reimbursement teams to unify go-to-market execution.
  • Provide timely field intelligence on competitive activity, customer insights, reimbursement trends, and market dynamics.

Operational Excellence & Expense Management

  • Manage regional operating expenses, travel budgets, and resource deployment to maximize sales ROI.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data including account mapping, distributor hierarchies, opportunity tracking, and forecasting.
  • Ensure optimal territory alignment and resource utilization.

Compliance, Ethics & Brand Leadership

  • Ensure all commercial activities adhere to FDA regulations, healthcare laws, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Champion integrity, professionalism, and patient-first decision making across the region.
  • Serve as a visible brand ambassador for Cellution Biologics’ mission, values, and portfolio.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive sales experience in biologics, regenerative medicine, advanced wound care, or medical devices.
  • 3–5+ years of people leadership experience managing field sales teams or regional territories.
  • Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding regional sales quotas in competitive, regulated markets.
  • Experience selling into hospitals, wound care centers, HOPDs, ASCs, and physician offices.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. reimbursement pathways including Medicare and commercial payors.
  • Experience managing distributor or hybrid sales models strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.
